Implementasi Metode Scrum Pada Pengembangan Sistem Pemilihan Rektor Online

Dalam sebuah perguruan tinggi peran rektor sangatlah penting. Saat ini Institut Teknologi Telkom Purwokerto (ITTP) dalam tahap penjaringan bakal calon rektor dikarenakan masa jabatan rektor sebelumnya telah usai yaitu periode 2017 hingga 2021. Dalam pemilihan rektor di ITTP, terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi seperti: aspek keamanan data yang masih belum terjaga, update data ataupun dokumen persyaratan calon rektor dan keterbatasan akses informasi saat masa pandemi secara offline. Untuk melindungi data dari pihak luar dan melakukan dokumentasi file bakal calon rektor secara real time maka diperlukan sebuah sistem guna mempermudah proses pemilihan rektor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem pemilihan rektor secara online. Pengembangan sistem dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Scrum. Setiap pekerjaan diselesaikan dalam masa waktu yang pendek. Setiap sprint merupakan sebuah pengerjaan dari sebuah backlog sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang diperlukan. Penerapan pendekatan Scrum sangat efektif dalam pengembangan aplikasi pemilihan rektor ini. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penerapan Scrum yaitu sistem pemilihan rektor online yang dapat dikembangkan sesuai dengan product backlog yang ditentukan oleh product owner.
